Aurora, OR – Robert Goyer, Editor of FLYING Magazine, has accepted an offer to serve on the Advisory Committee for the Aircraft Kit Industry Association (AKIA). He will provide advice and counsel for the group relating to issues that affect its growth and the regulatory environment.
Prior to joining FLYING 18 years ago, Robert served as editor of Sport Pilot along with Hot Kits and Homebuilts. He has flown over 200 types of homebuilt, ultralight and GA aircraft, in addition to dozens of turbine aircraft.
“Robert is a well-balanced aviation writer who brings considerable experience and expertise to the table,” said Dick VanGrunsven, President of AKIA. “We welcome his understanding of the issues facing kitbuilding today and look forward to the benefit of his assistance.”
